Summer trekking through the Scottish Highlands

It’s about adventure, not shouting at our customers to buy our listings. We want to supply high integrity clothing and equipment from the best Nordic brands to core users in the UK, we’re doing it without a large investment so progress is gradual, but positive.

WHY COME TO US?

Second hand listings are everywhere. But experience is not. We check over every item we stock, wash it, repair it if needed, then reproof or rewax it, and package it with a fresh Jenesøn tag ready for a new life. All this for a little bit more than waiting for an online auction to end, being outbid, or having the listing pulled by the seller. Our prices usually come in at around 50% of RRP.

CLIENT PACKAGES

February has seen our first orders from the USA and UK come in, with a really enjoyable commission to outfit two clients for an adventure in Iceland. With variable temperatures dipping from around-5C to +2C, we had to find the perfect combination of warmth, versatility and toughness to cover off moving over volcanic terrain, a glacier traverse, as well as comfort in transport to and from locations.

**As ever, no one does it at well as the Swedes and Norwegians. We sourced Fjällräven, Haglöfs, Hestra, Thule and Superyellow (Finnish) items which were checked, cleaned, and reproofed as needed**

**We used our own recipe Greenland wax which melts well into polycotton fabrics and is a touch harder than off the shelf alternatives.**

**We were able to include some new items in the package deal which will be collected early next month.**

BEAR WITH US AS WE GROW

We aim to expand our range in early 2024, splitting into Mens and Womens sections, equipment, accessories, and a hot weather range for safari and dusty adventures closer to the equator. We’re looking to align with a remote safari lodge in Botswana which will be a great addition to the business. Fingers crossed. Scandinavian brands often range hot weather lines which is often left unconsidered, but brands such as Fjällräven produce some of the best hot weather clothing available.

FORCES

Defence and Blue Light discounts will kick in once we’ve secured trade accounts with brands that we’d like to stock new items from. This will take time.

PLEASE NOTE

If your magnetic compass is placed near to a smartphone or any device using NFC/NFT, such as card payment apps, its orientation will be permanently confused. The near field transmitter should switch off once the app has been shut down but it may keep running in the background. Always prove your compass with another, away from metal, before setting out.
