SDA Downhill Mountain Bike Nationals Fort William, Scotland 2024
UPDATE:
Welcome to Jenesøn Brukte Klær, we are a small scale premium outfitters for used Scandinavian outdoor apparel in the UK, and we thank everyone for the continued support.
With stock flying out this month, we’ve populated our store with more premium items, including Fjällräven Numbers range, Lundhags and new items from Tenson Sweden.
FEATURED LISTINGS
Our premium feature listing, the Lundhags Gneik 42 Rucksack. A high quality trekking and hiking pack for multi days in harsh environments, built to hold out in the Scandinavian winter. The construction of this pack is a true testament to the brand’s heritage, with over 90 years expertise in creating the most hard wearing outdoor apparel and equipment for core users.
As we’ve said before, it’s an ‘if you know you know’ brand, and this rare listing will not disappoint! Its premium construction is crafted from ripstop nylon polycotton body at 65/35, with heavy duty high abrasion nylon webbing and daisy chain. Hidden D rings on the waistbelt allow for Pulka pulling accompanied by an aluminium frame with mesh air system, making this pack perfect for summer and winter tours.
Lundhags Gneik 42 Rucksack. SOLD OUT
Fjällräven Smock No. 1. NOW AVAILABLE
Our second premium featured item for the coming month is the first edition of our Fjällräven Numbers collection. The Smock No. 1.
The numbers collection is Fjällräven’s more premium line of durable outdoor apparel, produced in limited quantities and created from only the highest quality organic cotton G-1000 heavy duty and recycled fabrics to withstand challenging terrain.
Designed for year round ‘advanced outdoor life’ the Smock No.1 is the seminal piece from the Fjällräven Numbers range. We sourced a used but well looked after smock and restored it to the highest standard from the leather trims to breathability of the jacket.
SDA DOWNHILL NATIONALS FORT WILLIAM
We had the opportunity to shoot at the SDA downhill MTB nationals in Fort William this month.
At the foot of Ben Nevis, the trailhead leads up steep forest as the competitors tear down the infamous World Cup downhill track, known for its length and difficulty.
Gnarly to say the least, we saw a young rider ejected off a berm and into the trees, some jumps badly cased and one rider snatch the front brake to land on his neck in a root section. Riders were flying past stretchered competitors so high levels of intestinal fortitude were noticed!
Medical staff were fantastic and very fit, often hauling necessary kit up steep trails to get to the downed rider while the crowd looked on.
This is a wild sport and immensely exciting to watch, we’ll be getting involved more in the future. As featured in our previous dispatch, the Norrona Fjora range provides premium kit for MTB users. See more here.
